The Creston Repair Fair Is Back This Summer

Got a lamp that won't light up? A jacket with a broken zipper? A bike that needs fixing? Before you send it to the landfill, bring it to the Creston Repair Fair and let one of our skilled volunteers take a crack at it.

The Repair Fair is a new program here at CNA, and this summer we're running it four times at the Creston Farmers Market at City High Middle School. Whether you're a longtime regular or hearing about it for the first time, here's everything you need to know.

When & Where

The Repair Fair happens every second Saturday of the month during market season:
June 13
July 11
August 8
September 12

All events run 9 AM–1 PM at City High Middle School (Creston Farmers Market). Last call for new repairs is 12:30 PM, so don't wait until the last minute!

What Can I Bring?
If you can carry it, we'll try to fix it. Our volunteers work on jewelry, small appliances, tools, clothing and textiles, clocks, lamps, and minor bicycle repairs. Basically: if it's broken and you can haul it in, bring it. If your item needs a specific part to get it working again, bring that part along too. We'll have a limited supply of spare parts on hand, but your chances are better if you come prepared.

How Does It Work?
Plan to stay with your item while it's being repaired. This is by design, watching the repair happen is half the fun, and our volunteers may have questions for you along the way. Think of it as a little window into how things work (and how to fix them when they don't). Repairs are done by community volunteers who give every item their best effort, but please know that fixes aren't guaranteed. The goal is always to try.

What Does It Cost?
Nothing. The Repair Fair is a free service to the Creston community. Donations are always warmly received but never expected.

Get Involved
The Repair Fair only works because of the talented volunteers who show up and share their skills. If you'd like to help out at these events, we'd love to have you. Email Kelly at kelly@crestongr.com to sign up.

A big thank you to our sponsor, RAB Electric, for making this program possible.
See you at the market!
