The incident that happened near Ann St. and Center St. this past Thursday was unexpected and unpredictable. Some aspects of crime are just unpreventable, and that is when we depend on the skills and training of our Grand Rapids Police Officers to ensure our safety when every critical second counts. The neighbors of Creston are truly grateful to those men and women who volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way for just that.
This afternoon I spoke with our North Service Area Captain, Pam Carrier and she would like to extend her thanks for all the support, help and cooperation to all those neighbors in the surrounding area. With great neighborhood cooperation, detectives where able to efficiently conduct their investigation, and all those Creston neighbors’ who conveyed their well wishes and deep concern for one of our own officers is much appreciated.
