About Location: Plainfield Ave. is a very busy through fare connecting the northern suburbs and I96 to downtown GR. This location is conveniently located between Ann St. and Leonard St. in a densely populated neighborhood, perfect for walkability. It is also located on a main bus route and only a five minute drive from downtown & I96/131 highways.
The below dates have been confirmed but we have the ability to extend through October if there is interest.Market Dates:

- July: 13, 27
- August: 10, 24
Market Open: 9:00 AM
Market Close: 1:00 PM
Vendor Fees and Expectations
$20/ date or $120 for all seven confirmed dates.
GR food co-op and CNA members receive 20% off their vendor fee
Vendors will need to provide their own tent, table, and staffing for each market. We are working on securing wifi but If taking credit card and EBT payments a mobile hotspot is highly recommended.
Vendors are required to be insured and to agree to our market policies.
Preference will be given to vendors offering local produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and other prepared foods. All applications will be reviewed and our committee will connect with you to discuss your application. Feel free to share this flyer with others who may be interested in participating.
Our Why
The Creston Neighborhood encompasses one-ninth of the City of Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, despite our size (both in population and geography) we only have one grocery store within our boundaries. Our neighborhood needs increased access to fresh foods and we are working towards that goal.
Through feedback and outreach completed over the past few years, it has been made clear that our community will support a farmer’s market in Creston. With the majority indicating in a recent survey that they would frequent a market at least twice per month.
Our Future Plans
In our inaugural year we are holding the market every other Saturday to meet the demand in our community but also ensure vendors’ availability.
A successful summer 2024 will guarantee our ability to expand to bigger weekly markets in 2025. Vendors who commit to the full 2024 season will have a guaranteed spot for 2025 and will be given their choice of booth location.
